battle of the counties: summer 2012

Register for "Battle of the Counties" individually or as a team and get the chance to play and win up to $5,000 for your team or lacrosse program. This is the first ever intramural high school lacrosse league to give away such a great value. Requirements and details are listed below.


  • Boys' League and Girls' League
  • Ages 12-18
  • Beginners, Intermediate, advanced and elite players only
  • Games played Monday's and Wednesday evenings
  • Game time frame 6PM-10PM
  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • All games on an official full size turf lacrosse field (outdoors)
  • Boys' 10v10 four 14 minute running quarters
  • Girls' 11v11 two 30 minute running halves
  • Minimum 16 players per team, maximum 25 (no exceptions)
  • Certified officials for both leagues
  • 7 guaranteed regular season games
  • Play-offs will be made based upon team record wins and losses
  • Register individually or with a team (your school or club team)
  • Teams must provide their own coach or request one from Upper90 lacrosse
  • Cost: $150.00 per student before June 21st 2012 or $200.00 per student after June 21st 2012
  • Team Fee: $2,000.00 To register a team please Email Upper90lacrosse@gmail.com
  • All team checks must be submitted before June 21st 2012
  • Dress accordingly based on temperature and weather

Locations: Three locations to choose from. Of the 7 guaranteed games, 4 will be home games and 3 will be away games. Choose a home turf field with field lights from below when registering.

  • Richard Montgomery High school (Rockville, MD)
  • Montgomery Blair High School (Silver Spring, MD)

Official regular season game dates and times: All games will be played at the locations above and the dates and times below. A full detailed team schedule will be released one week prior to the first game.

Prize Money: The amount of prize money for each boys' and girls' league will be determined based on the number of teams participating (amounts listed below). Prize checks can be made out to the participating school, Club or to individual players after being divided evenly among winning team members. Why play for nothing?!

PRIZE MONEY BREAK DOWN:

  • League minimum 15 teams= $5,000
  • League minimum 10 teams= $2,000
  • League minimum 6 teams= $800
  • 5 or less teams= $500
